Five Star Electric is the prime electrical contractor on this four-year project that includes new electrical installations into five newly-constructed buildings. This project is the final upgrade to the secondary treatment process at the Newtown Creek Water Pollution Control Plant in Greenpoint Brooklyn. The 800,000 s. f. complex was built on piles and a nine-foot concrete foundation. The project architect and engineer is Hazen & Sawyer, P.C.- Malcolm Pirnie, Joint Venture and the owner is New York City Department of Environmental Protection. The project is scheduled for a 2007 completion
