World Trade Center Memorial
The National September 11 Memorial will remember and honor the nearly three thousand individuals who died in the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. The Memorial Plaza actually sits atop a 70-foot below-grade building that houses a museum, a train station, and other facilities that fill the chasm left by the 9/11 events. Five Star Electric was selected as the electrical contractor for the project. The Memorial design by Michael Arad and Peter Walker was selected through a completion of more than 52,000 entrants from 63 nations. The Memorial Plaza will be one of the most sustainable Plazas ever built with nearly 400 oak trees surrounding the memorial pools. The Memorial consists of two massive pools set within the footprints of the Twin Towers, with the largest manmade waterfalls in the country cascading down their sides
