The Museum of the City of New York
The Museum of the City of New York, founded in 1923, as an art gallery and history museum, looks out over Central Park on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Its mission is to present the history of New York City and its people. The Museum displays the inexorable changes, opportunity and diversity of the greatest city in the world - the Big Apple.

WDF Inc. was selected to install the HVAC systems for the 3000 square foot pavilion gallery glass enclosed space. WDF installed and set into operation all of the following: cooling towers, chillers, air handlers, heat pumps and fan coil units, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, sprinkler system for new addition, mechanical piping with insulation and ductwork.

The owner was New York City Department of Design and Construction. Hill International was the CM with Polshek Partnership serving as the project architect and ASW serving as the project engineer. New Museum Director, Susan Henshaw Jones declared, "I remember when we first met to discuss this project and it seemed like 120 degrees in the courtyard...and now it's cool and very comfortable."
